An open letter to Taylor Swift in thank you for her one million dollar donation to 2016 flood stricken Louisiana people..I am a professional chess master/ author/public performer who has lived in New Orleans (and San Francisco) for half a century … long before you were born, little sister … Swiftly … I present memories aplenty that were you boosting my spirits amidst hurricane Katrina madness … the static infested battery wind up radio had Taylor Swift breaking worldwide with her around-the-clock monster hit LOVE STORY (ROMEO AND JULIET) … incredible vocal and songwriting pop genius … listening in the night, all night on the floor of my bombed out-building top floor New Orleans apartment … I was alone but never alone … sing it, Taylor! … Hillary Duff was simultaneously arriving with WAKE UP … there is a party going on … those were bubblegum but wonderful hits I gunned for in the night …When they come on in powerless helpless darkness I just got up and danced alone … your one million dollar donation to the wonderful people of Louisiana will never he forgotten. I will never live to see your entire monster career (rage on!) but say simply thanks for the memories

Jude Acers, New Orleans, Louisiana
